Blow Your Top - Whole Class Prediction and Explanation
Prediction
It will turn into a rainbow - Krystal
The volcano will explode - Samantha
The red stuff inside will explode - Thomas
Explanation
We had to make the salt dough for the volcano first and then we put the dough around the bottle in the middle of the saucepan. In the bottle we put all the ingredients in but when we put the baking soda in it started to fizz. Next we poured in some vinegar slowly and the vinegar reacted with the baking soda. It exploded like a volcano with lava running down the side.
Conclusion
Samanta's and Thomas' hypothesis were right but Krystal's was wrong.
